IEM, the largest independent full-line manufacturer of electrical and power quality equipment in the U.S., has added a panel with distribution certified to 200kA at 240V to its line of UL 891 low voltage switchgear.

“IEM has been building switchboard distribution “CDP” panels with a 100kA rating for a long time,” said Don Kozerski, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at IEM.  “We’ve now enhanced the panel design to meet UL test standards at 200kA, adding flexibility for customers that require distribution with high short circuit ratings.”

The new panel can be built in NEMA 1 or NEMA 3R enclosures.  It will be integral to the switchgear and can accommodate any input protective device rated 4kA or lower (circuit breaker or Class L fuse), easily coordinating with upstream breakers or fuses.
